Marketing Campaigns

Create email and SMS campaigns, manage members, configure drip sequences, and track analytics

Application:CRM / Marketing
Who is this for:Marketing teams, sales managers, and anyone who runs outreach campaigns

Marketing campaigns in Ambivo let you organize and execute targeted outreach to groups of leads and contacts. Whether you are running an email drip sequence, a seasonal promotion, or an event invitation, campaigns help you manage the effort and measure results.

What Is a Campaign?

A campaign is an organized marketing effort aimed at a specific audience. In Ambivo, a campaign record tracks:

  • Who you are targeting (campaign members — leads and contacts)
  • What you are sending (email content, SMS messages)
  • When it goes out (scheduling and frequency)
  • How well it performed (analytics — opens, clicks, responses)

Getting There

  • Log in to Ambivo
  • Click Campaigns in the left sidebar
  • You will see a list of all campaigns with their names, statuses, and key metrics

Common Questions

Can I send a campaign to leads and contacts together?

Yes. Campaign members can include both leads and contacts.

What happens if a member unsubscribes?

They are removed from the campaign and will not receive further messages. Their unsubscribe preference is respected across future campaigns.

Can I A/B test my campaigns?

This depends on your plan and configuration. You can create multiple campaigns with slightly different content and compare their performance.

How do I avoid sending to people who already received a different campaign?

Use filters when adding members to exclude people who are already in another active campaign.

Tips and Best Practices

  • Always personalize your messages using merge fields — personalized emails get higher open rates
  • Start with a small test group before launching to your full audience
  • Monitor analytics after the first send and adjust content if open rates are low
  • Use drip campaigns to nurture leads over time instead of sending everything at once
  • Keep your campaign lists clean — remove bounced emails and unsubscribed contacts
  • Track marketing sources consistently to understand your best lead channels
